Fancy jewelry. Glittering accessories. Oh so Kikay stuff. Dressed to impress. A pretty face. A happy and joyful smile. Boisterous and giggly laughter. Friendly personality. Hanging out with cool people in cool spots. Up to date with the latest trends. Adorned and pampered. Loved by all. Got almost anything. Life can be so picture-perfect. But is it?

All alone. Removing the fa├žade. Crying to sleep. Hurting inside. Suppressing pain. Feeling an emptiness that nothing can fill in. Waking up in the middle of the night feeling an unexplainable void. Bet you can’t see that.

You find yourself wondering if everything is just one big show. Wanting for someone to care, and see beyond what the eyes could see. That deep inside the face, clothes, makeup and accessories, is a scared person just wanting to be loved without conditions. Just for being you.

Don’t be fooled by what the eyes can see. True, sometimes the happiest face could be masking a lonely heart. Sad thing is, nobody knows it but you…

... i wrote this exactly a year ago, inspired by a book entitled "The Truth About Diamonds", a book I haven't read yet...
