cooking 101 - lemon chicken

a tinge of sweetness and a hint of citrus. lemon chicken, my all-time favorite :)

strips of chicken breast, 250 grams
freshly squeezed lime juice (or lemon), 1/4 cup
water, 1/4 cup
a pinch of salt
3 tbsp of sugar (depending on how sweet you want it to be
corn starch, 1/4 cup

here's how i did it:
  • start off by making the lemon sauce. in a saucepan, mix the lime juice, water, salt and sugar. boil for until the mixture thickens and changes color.
  • coat the chicken strips in corn starch and deep fry. 
  • dry excess oil of the chicken. 
  • add the chicken into the lemon sauce.
  • serve and enjoy.
