First Aussie Christmas

Tuesday, December 30, 2014tee

This year's Christmas is a year of firsts for us. While Christmas always means us with our dear family and friends back home in the Philippines, this year we're spending it in sunny Australia, our new home. We miss home and our family and friends, but it's comforting to be surrounded with family and friends here in Oz as well, as we celebrate the holidays.

TEAM AUSTRALIA's CHRISTMAS PARTY
It was time to literally let our hairs down for Team Australia's Christmas Party. Why not when it was time to let the inner crazies go by having a wig party!

JINJIN and FRIENDS
Old friends (and some new) gather for a buffet lunch at New Quay Restaurant and coffee for a meaningful gathering for Christmas. For most of us in the group, it was our first Aussie Christmas too.

HOUSEMATES' SIMPLE CHRISTMAS DINNER
A simple celebration with housemates over dinner, coffee and good conversations.

CHRISTMAS EVE WITH RELATIVES
The Sanchezes lovingly took us in for their Christmas eve celebration. We had fun over carols, games, and opening the presents (especially for the little ones). It was heart-warming to see kids grinning happily over their gifts and excitedly anticipating what's inside the wrapped boxes. :)

Wherever you spent your Christmas holidays, hope you're surrounded with much love from family or friends. And may we never forget the real meaning and reason for this joyous season.  Merry and Blessed Christmas from our growing family to yours! :)
