The Aussie Adventure: Year One

Tuesday, August 25, 2015tee

So last friday, we turned one! It's been a year since we started our Aussie adventure! A year seems so short, yet a milestone of all sorts - something to look back and be grateful for. A year of settling, adjusting, relationships, friendships and new beginnings.

A year - that means one full season cycle. I've actually went through chilly winter, breezy and rainy spring, oh-kill-me-now-it's-so-hot-and-I'm-pregnant summer, and gloomy autumn. Yeah, that's one way of putting it.

We came here pregnant, and now the bub's almost a half-year old. The little girl who was then learning to crawl and toothless, is now a hyperactive toddler who runs around. Sometimes, we tend to go through the daily hum-hums but looking at these two little kids and how fast they are growing makes me pause for a while and think, it's not them - it's time. Morning becomes night, weekdays become weekends, months change. Oh how time flies indeed! And just like that, we've hit the one year mark.

Looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us in the coming year. Indeed, it's only grace and grace alone that we are finally here, starting and settling down. :)

What's a milestone without some cupcakes? Here's a snapshot of my red velvet with cream cheese frosting beauties. Just because I found the excuse to bake, teehee.
